MOOL SUSTAINABILITY RESEARCH AND TRAINING CENTER. Although born much earlier, Mool was formally established as a Charitable Trust in 2012. It was registered with the Income Tax Department u/s 12AA in 2016, and u/s 80G in 2017.	Vision: Mool Sustainability Research and Training Center builds integrative and regenerative lifestyles, communities and societies. Mission: Mool Sustainability Research and Training Center (or, simply, Mool) inspires and enables youth and other stakeholders to build local resource-based, environment-friendly, and regenerative lifestyles and communities through participatory, inclusive and collaborative visioning, capacity building and transformation programs.
Our ongoing work includes participatory research with youth (capacity building via participatory dialogue, fellowships, internships, volunteering opportunities), promoting sustainable practices in farming and development, and modest emergency relief work. One of our most significant ongoing projects is the articulation of a common and shared vision by youth for a participatory and inclusive society! Social Sustainability

Social sustainability entails participatory consultations and regular engagement with community (including farmers and practitioners associated with indigenous methods, trades and skills), science and technology fraternity, and people in public service delivery to improve quality of individual and community experience of life (including in areas of education, livelihood, healthcare and ecology) and explore a sustainable and integrated way of living. These interactions build shared networks and a culture of collective problem-solving. Such positive consequences generate considerable goodwill in the community.

Economic Sustainability

Mool collaborates with a sheep and vegetable farm to provide youth the opportunity to learn skills and acquire knowledge necessary to operate a successful small farm. These include the sale of produce (such as fruits and vegetables) and the entire sheep farm output (meat, wool, and manure). Other products produced from raw materials on the farm (for example, woolen garments, handcrafts and pickles) will also generate revenue. The economic incentives, localized nature, and environment friendliness attracts youth engagement and their long-term commitment to Mool and similar initiatives.

Ecological Sustainability

Mool ensures ecological sustainability by using eco-friendly systemic practices. Optimum use of infrastructure, materials, and time are key values for Mool. Through these values, Mool uses and promotes zero waste systems, cost-effective earth-building designs for infrastructure, organic practices and materials for farming such as zero pesticides and organic manure. Through the community wellbeing program, the attention of community is drawn towards the need to create zero waste systems.
