Interviews Concluded | RISE UP: The Sustainable Kashmir Fellowships 2026–2027

Over the past few days, we had the privilege of meeting young people from all ten districts of Kashmir, representing diverse backgrounds, experiences, and aspirations.

Each conversation carried dreams, plans, goals, questions, and anxieties about creating meaningful change—for themselves, their communities, society, and the environment. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to listen to these stories.

One reflection stands out: the desire is there. The curiosity is there. The potential is immense. Young people are ready to contribute with sincerity and purpose. What many need is mentorship, guidance, and a supportive ecosystem to help transform their vision into meaningful action.

We now look forward to welcoming the new fellowship cohort and beginning an exciting journey together—exploring personal vision, cultivating leadership, and designing careers rooted in service, ecological entrepreneurship, and regenerative change.

We are also grateful to our interview panelists, Fayaz Ahmad Dar Sahib, Syed Ashfaq Sahib, and Shaheena Parveen Sahiba, for their time, thoughtful engagement, and commitment throughout the interview process.
